Walk or cycle along gentle routes in all seasons, including walks within and from Burnbrae
The Scottish Borders - and particularly the area around Burnbrae - has a wealth of beautiful gardens and policies to which there is public access. Burnbrae lies between The Floors estate and Mellerstain, both within 5 km. The former has splendid woodlands and gardens with one of the best views of the river Tweed from its tracks. The latter has beautiful, more formal gardens with a major folly on the horizon. Monteviot gardens on the north bank of the river Teviot are quite different, large and delightful. Harmony gardens beside Melrose abbey are special. Teviot Water Gardens offers riverside walks, a three-level water garden and its own Smokery and food hall. Further afield, the gardens at Kailzie and the Dawick gardens / arboretum are well worth a visit.
After a round or two of golf or visits elsewhere, return to your cottage to enjoy the stunning view, the garden, the wildlife and the peace of Burnbrae whilst eating or relaxing in your conservatory. Be free to do what you choose, when you choose, when holidaying in our superb, well-equipped, centrally heated, comfortable cottages. In cool weather, snuggle in front of your wood fire.
