A visit to Floors Castle, Kelso

is a memorable part of the holiday for many who stay at Burnbrae. It is only 2 miles distant.

"Floors is steeped in history and what better place can there be in which to work than a castle filled to the brim with fine works of art, timeless tapestries and a beautiful collection of antiques!"
Marie Wilson

The walled garden is a special attraction, being sustained as a part of the garden centre. The most remarkable feature of the garden are the original Victorian iron poles, dripping with huge swags of crimson American pillar rambling roses and purple clematis. Beneath the tunnel of colour and scent blow great swathes of grasses, lupins, geraniums, campanulas and euphorbias, creating a real colour palette!

In the grounds of Floors Castle, there are walking routes on which we enjoy the wealth of superb trees and the magnificent views across the river Tweed to Roxburgh castle and Kelso

Our grandchildren have spent many happy hours with us at the adventure playground.

For refreshment, we visit the Terrace Cafe. There is also a restaurant.
