Thairn Cottage is a spacious, single-level self-catering cottage with thoughtful touches to make your stay in the Scottish Borders relaxing and comfortable. Larger than our other cottages, it features an extra-long king-size bed – ideal for taller guests – and can sleep up to 3 with an additional bed in the bedroom or living room.
The cottage includes a bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk-in shower, plus a well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven/grill, microwave and dishwasher. A heated drying cupboard and access to secure outdoor storage for bikes, golf clubs or fishing gear are also provided.
Highly accessible, Thairn sits next to our level car park with an easy flagstone path. Off the south-facing living room is your private conservatory and patio – perfect for relaxed dining and birdwatching.

Cycle routes and lovely walks start almost from the door, from gentle riverside rambles to longer countryside walks through rolling farmland and along quiet lanes. For those who enjoy exploring on two wheels, we’re happy to suggest tried and tested cycling routes, whether you’re after a relaxed spin or something a little more challenging.
Just three miles away, Kelso offers a great choice of independent shops, welcoming cafés and places to eat.
We live next door if you’d like a few local recommendations – perhaps a scenic stretch of the River Tweed, a longer Borders walk with wide open views, or a visit to many historical houses & gardens, including Mellerstain House or Floors Castle, both within 3 miles. There’s plenty to discover, and we’re delighted to help you plan your days.
